Fundraising efforts are broken into three components:  donation; discount card; and script.  All three are importnat to our efforts to fund not only the robot and supportiing material, but to provide travel funds for attendance during the competitions.

2010 Lego Robotics Camp

June 21-24 @ West Oak Middle School

July 26-29 @ Ravenel Elementary School

The 2nd annual Lego Robotics Camp is an exciting time geared toward teaching participants some basic and advanced principals in robotics. These include types of gears, gear ratios, levers, pulleys, programming NXT robots, sensors and much more. There are three classes based on age group and experience, they include:

Beginner Lego Robotics: Rising 2nd-3rd graders—Basic programming, basic loops, measuring, touch sensors, obstacle course competition!

Intermediate Lego Robotics: Rising 4th-5th graders—Programming, loops, touch sensors, different drive trains, arm attachments, and the obstacle course competition!

Advanced Lego Robotics: Rising 6th graders and current Lego League team members—Advanced programming, loops, touch and light sensors, use a graph to determine measurements and program, multiple use arms, unique designs, and an all new obstacle course competition

Disclaimer: The team members and mentors of Robotics Team 343 Metal-in-Motion will run this camp. The proceeds from this camp will benefit Team 343 and other Lego League teams in Oconee County.

There are 3 new retailers on Scrip! Hardees $10 (8%), Sephora $20 (5%), and Guitar Center $25 (5%).

Remember, if you buy a $10 Hardees card you only pay $10 and we make $.80 per card. This adds up over time!! The more money we have in our account, the more we can pay for...ie student meals...etc...

 

Discount Cards

Valid through the last day of 2010, discount cards provide a variety of discounts from local businesses.  For $10 you can purchase one of these cards and begin saving money while supporting the Robotics Team.
