Sponsors

Money; materials; places to work and meet; time; knowledge, and experience from everyone all help Team 343 be successful.  Although just by the nature of the FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC), sponsors provide one type of support that only they can provide.  Continuity.  It is quite exciting, interesting, and even educational to watch a team of sponsors and students swing into action on Kick-Off day.  And keep on going.  And all in six weeks!  Amazing!

Please take a few minutes to visit with the sponsors listed in our sponsors’ menus.  We hope you recognize some of them.  We know you recognize their spirit.

From Team 343, thank you very much sponsors!

(A letter from our Project Manager and our School District of Oconee County
Business and Industry Coordinator)

For more than nineteen years, Metal in Motion, along with several industry partners, have participated in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology) regional and international robotics competition. The competition involves designing and building a functioning robot over a period of six weeks to compete in a “sports style” event. The FIRST Competition is focused on stimulating high school students’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Each year’s team includes high schools students from all areas of Oconee County, many parents and teachers, and more than a dozen very active volunteer personnel from our local industry sponsors.  We begin each year’s competition in early January when we receive materials and the game plans for the robotics competition.  We complete our robot in only six weeks! Needless to say, those six weeks are very busy and productive.

Our success in competing against hundreds of teams from across the nation is noted in our awards and honors page. Our team now has more than nineteen years of invaluable experience! We also support the FIRST LEGO League Robotics Competition for fourth – eighth grade students.

The whole process is repeated each year with a robot which must accomplish more complicated tasks. We encourage you to visit this web site often to keep up with our progress and to see the excitement the students and other participants are enjoying.

We’d like to invite you to join us as a sponsor.

We’ve had tremendous support from our business partners and hope you will become a solid sponsor. Please review the different levels of sponsorship and let us know your desired level of support. We’ll be glad to invoice you for your specific level of sponsorship.
