Palmetto Regional

After arrival and pit setup, we were able to have our robot inspected quickly. Because we were inspected, we filled in for teams that were unable to make it to the practice matches. The drivers were learning how to navigate on the field, and discovering issues for the pit crew and programmers to solve.

The next day, we began qualifying matches. We started strong as the first match of the day, holding the highest score for the next eighteen matches. Despite going slightly downhill from there, we made it to the quarterfinals, and finished with the sixth highest Offensive Power Rating at the competition.

Everyone had a great time cheering on the teams, and dancing during the breaks. Sixteen of the students had not attended a FIRST Robotics Competition and this gave them a taste for more at the upcoming Smoky Mountain Regional.
